No Contact Pick-up

The Blue Earth County Library (Mankato location) will provide contactless pickup for hold items starting Monday, May 4th at the north entrance (bridge side) of the library building. The process is easy as 1-2-3.

Step 1: Place items on hold (users may request up to 15 items at one time)(only items available at our Mankato location are available at this time)

  1. Go to the Catalog at and find items that are available now at our library. You can place hold requests here; this option is currently limited to 10 items per user.
  2. Or call us at 507-304-4001
  3. Or fill out our No Contact Pickup Materials Request Form on our website

Step 2: Schedule a pick-up time

  1. You will be notified by email or phone call when your items are available to schedule a pick-up time.
  2. After arriving, call the No Contact Pickup number: 507-304-4019 and give us your name.

Step 3: Pick up your items

  1. Once you call, a staff member will place your items on the table by the entrance. Please do not approach the table until the staff member has re-entered the library building.
  2. Once staff has entered the building, you may step up to retrieve your materials.

A few notes:

  • Returned materials will not be accepted at the contactless pick-up table; please use the book drops for returns.
  • You can return all library materials fine-free until 30 days after we reopen the Main Library.
  • We do not yet have a date for opening our building to the community. When we know, that date will be shared on our website and through social and traditional media.
